Croatia - Plitvice Lakes National Park

This national park in Croatia is absolutely amazing.  It's a series of lakes that are sort of stacked one above the other.  But instead of water flowing between the lakes as you'd expect, it drops off huge limestone cliffs and comes shooting out of the rock in places.

The only bad part of this afternoon was the light wasn't too good for photography.  I seemed to always be wanting the light to come from another angle and never really got any awesome shots.  These will have to do until we go back again someday.

These raised paths go for several miles and allowed us to see most of the park in just a few hours.

My favorite waterfall.  When this came into view, my jaw dropped.  There's a huge lake above this cliff. I don't understand why the water hasn't made it's way around the cliff over the years.

This is the biggest waterfall, as over 175 feet tall

Nature is so beautiful! There are certain tourist spot around the world which you can comfortably call destination hotels. They are amongst the Best Hotels in the world, and you could base your entire holiday around them many people do.
