Gingerbread Houses

From left to right: Luc's skyscraper, Cassy's barn/house, Helen's green hippie home, and Krusty's trailer park.

Cassy obviously dominated the gingerbread making.

Luc's skyscraper in all its glory.  Wind: calm.

Luc's skyscraper about 30 seconds after walking outside.  The building was not designed to withstand 20+ mph wind.

The Masseys

In November, we went to Dallas to see the Masseys.  We found that Ethan is only getting cuter and that Patty (the wiener dog) still loves me more than ever.

I kept telling Ethan, "There's more to life than being really really ridiculously good-looking."  I don't think he was listening.

Christmas Lights

On a cold, calm-wind night, I ventured out to take some photos of the ritzy neighborhood Christmas lights.  I had fun combining the motion of passing cars with the light show.  Usually it's tough to make a photo look better than the scene looks in person, but I think it's much easier to generate great visuals with night photography.

New York City

The Big Apple

Last week I went to New York City with a handful of other students on a trip sponsored by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. We were in the city for less than 48 hours--plenty of time to have a blast. The main event was a Wings Club luncheon where aviation industry leaders meet to talk shop. Other fun stuff on the trip included Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, Central Park, Times Square, Statue of Liberty, a stay in a posh hotel, and awesome food. The highlight, though, were the other students, with super interesting backgrounds and hilarious personalities.

Here are a few of the photos I took in the city.
